Thank you to all the parents who attended this morning's PTO/Principal Coffee. We had wonderful discussion, and it was great to hear from Dr. Smith about how excited the administration and teachers are about this school year.
We are still looking for a Box Tops chairperson. There are people who have already volunteered to help with it this year, but we still need someone to be in charge. The past chairperson has left a binder full of wonderful information to make the job easy. Please contact PTO Presidents Lisa Liss or Melissa Muldoon if you're interested.
Remember, all PTO meetings are open to all parents! It's one of the best places to find out what's happening at Hixson. The PTO would love to have lots of parents participating in the meetings to give input & fresh ideas. We want out children & our school to succeed, and we need everyone helping out to accomplish this. Mark your calendars for the next PTO meeting on Wednesday, September 16 at 6:30 p.m. where our Speaker series will kick off with a presentation on Internet Safety. Hope to see you there!
